So many things have happened since my last post. I have taken my education and applied it into another direction. To those of you that are or were a patient of mine I will always cherish our time together. I have become part of the Jack Cooper Transportation Corporation. I have been busy learning their ways and trying to incorporate good habits. Lol, well at least try! I work in the shop and work with the mechanics and their shop managers. They have been really nice to not roll their eyes at me!!! In truth, I ran/owned a trucking company and my father was a mechanic. So this change is like when I was young back in the shop of my dad’s.
On the book end of things:
May 30th the book was introduced at an expo for new Authors. I have had positive feed back from this.
I met with Ms. York at the local restaurant in my town. Ms. York is a writer for the Owosso paper in my area. I was honored by being interviewed for the local paper. The print is supposed to be released this Wednesday. (hopefully)
The plans for the future:
Well, thanks to my mother I am lucky enough to go to England, Ireland and Scotland. My mom, niece and myself leave on this wonderful trip in Aug. I have been working on the second book to Master of the Spirit (The new Rein)
And this trip will bring so many wonderful things to the book. As I stay at each hotel, I am leaving a copy of the book in hopes that they will enjoy it as much as I do.
Hint for this blog
She is one of the oldest legends of the water……..
Since the last post here, my book Master of the Spirit, has been sent to online sales. A big Thank you to all that have already purchased this book. It is getting good reviews and I am open to comments and questions here on the blog. As for you here I will say that yes there is a sequel in the works and I must say I love the intro. I want to give you a little glimpse of the other main character Mani Davis.
Mani Davis was a typical young man until his mother became sick. He vowed to his mother, to make the best out of the life that he was given. As she became worse he cleaned up. No more parties, no more recklessness. He devoted his time to taking care of his mother while she fought for her life. When she passed it was Matthews friendship that kept him on the promised path. He became a music sensation with his heart felt lyrics. When He purchased his club looking for other opportunities he ran into Master Nu and his unusual proposition. He had already became friends with some of the locals in the area. Mani became family to one in particular. Dede, she had quickly become the second mother he was pleased to have. As Master Nu kept on about training and becoming a guardian, he knew there was more to this strangers story. He and Mathew would keep the enemy close, watching and waiting.
I really am thankful for the support! I hope you enjoyed the journey and even it’s frustrations as I did. The book is on Amazon and at Barnes and Noble. You can also get it straight from Dorrance. The actual promotion will be March 30. Not quite sure what they have planned, but I am sure I will enjoy the journey.
It took many years for me to become what I am, and now they expected me to just turn over “MY” power. Ungrateful, pitiful, and weak bunch of so called spirit guardians. They can’t get rid of me that easily! I waited once for a sign of weakness I can wait for another.
What can I say! this character is sneaky, underhanded and someone to not turn your back on…..
Tonight I am going to talk about Dede Ren. This is Lulu’s mom and best friend. Yes it can be done. But Dede is always a mother first.
There are a couple of secrets that Dede has ever kept from Lulu. This mom will always put her daughters heart first, before her own. When she had to sit her only child down and tell her about their families connection with a spirit world she knew it wasn’t going to be easy. Not only was there the fear of her rejection of the whole concept, but the dangers involved. The acceptance of the beast was no small matter! (Hint, Hint) No wolves, no mutated humans but something epic! Dede knew of the scars that her own mother (Gram Ren) hid all to well. Dede has to tell her one and only that she will have the fight of her life, and its only just beginning. Unfortunately there are more worries that come with her acceptance. If Lulu survives the challenge, it will be just the beginning of a lifetime of altercations, and problems to come.
See you next week 😉
SEE which character I talk about next!
Well December is around the corner. I can not be any happier with the way the pages have turned out. They made me swell with pride to see my name and the title of the book incorporated on the pages. Love the way the writing gives the fiction feel to the story. So as a count down to the release of the book I have decided to list each character and a little about them, and to explain their role in this story. So I will start with the eldest male of this story. He isn’t in the book a whole lot, but he is important for the end and the future of the book to follow Master of the Spirit. (which is in the making Master of the Spirit/ The New Rein)
Rese is the eldest living of the remaining elders of the protectors of the spirit world. He has only one enemy. His spirit is the oldest among them all and his name is Nile. Their element is water and they have been together for many decades. Rese is not a man who is easy to be around and is even more uncomfortable around his own kind. But when he is needed Rese won’t let the spirit world down..
Hope you enjoy a little about Rese.
When I get to Pharaoh I will finally tell you all, just what kind of spirits these special people (Lulu , Rese) protect…
I apologizes for the long delay in a new post, I have been working on moving my mom into her new home and my new career as a CCHT. I am back and excited to share who these colorful characters are in this fun book.
Hello and welcome back. Tonight I decided to do another random blog about the book. Since the page proofs I have not heard from Dorrance yet. December is still the release month yet I don’t have the date as of right now. Tonight’s blog is rather funny because no matter how old we get we always have someone else to answer to. And our young rebellious Lulu is no different. (even though she detests it, lol) So here is another little snip-it from the book.
Again- the reminder all parts of this book is protected by copy right.
This particular part is when Matthew and Mani had stepped into Lulu’s business and made it their own. Lulu was not very happy and decided to go into a snit about it. This is where she tells Matthew that she just might go out and find some other form of entertainment.
“Yeah, you might do that. Then again, you might get put over a couple pairs of knees for doing just that.”
A few words rapidly came to my lips, and I instantly bit down on them. Because I knew very well that Matthew was more than capable of doing just that. And he would totally enjoy the embarrassment that it would cause me.
And on that note, I went home. As I stomped my way home, I heard Matthew tell me that he would see me tomorrow. I swear the top of my head was going to blow. Here I was a grown woman, and I had everyone around me telling me what I was going to do.
Have a wonderful week and see you again soon!
I am beyond excited to share a picture with you all tonight. I was able to look over my page proofs for Master of the spirit. I must say I love them!!!!
Thank you all for your continued support and here is the cover page…..
Now waiting for book cover 🙂
