The Journey Continues.

So many things have happened since my last post. I have taken my education and applied it into another direction. To those of you that are or were a patient of mine I will always cherish our time together. I have become part of the Jack Cooper Transportation Corporation. I have been busy learning their ways and trying to incorporate good habits. Lol, well at least try! I work in the shop and work with the mechanics and their shop managers. They have been really nice to not roll their eyes at me!!! In truth, I ran/owned a trucking company and my father was a mechanic. So this change is like when I was young back in the shop of my dad’s.

On the book end of things:
May 30th the book was introduced at an expo for new Authors. I have had positive feed back from this.
I met with Ms. York at the local restaurant in my town. Ms. York is a writer for the Owosso paper in my area. I was honored by being interviewed for the local paper. The print is supposed to be released this Wednesday. (hopefully)

The plans for the future:
Well, thanks to my mother I am lucky enough to go to England, Ireland and Scotland. My mom, niece and myself leave on this wonderful trip in Aug. I have been working on the second book to Master of the Spirit (The new Rein)
And this trip will bring so many wonderful things to the book. As I stay at each hotel, I am leaving a copy of the book in hopes that they will enjoy it as much as I do.

Hint for this blog

Let it begin.

Well I’m happy to inform you all that I have received very nice reviews on Barnes and Noble. Thank you to all that have purchased my book. I am curious to what you feel was one of your favorite parts of the book? If you have read the story or even the blog here. Please let me know what part you found interesting or a part you enjoyed.  I have several parts that I particularly enjoyed. The BBQ part where she is tested by Pharaoh. Where Lulu kicks some butt, and how Lulu and Mani work as a team to not only help their future but those of the dragon spirits.

Ok, here is my little bit of information for this blog. Each dragon is tied to an earth element.

Pharaoh- named after Egyptian times-Pharaoh of the waters.

Azulure- means of the sky/air

Nile- The river Nile

Durell- earth

Zahan-Water

Ador-Fire

Nimbus- water and air

Hope you find this little bit of information interesting. See you again soon.

Moving Forward.

Since the last post here, my book Master of the Spirit, has been sent to online sales. A big Thank you to all that have already purchased this book. It is getting good reviews and I am open to comments and questions here on the blog. As for you here I will say that yes there is a sequel in the works and I must say I love the intro. I want to give you a little glimpse of the other main character Mani Davis.

Mani Davis was a typical young man until his mother became sick. He vowed to his mother, to make the best out of the life that he was given. As she became worse he cleaned up. No more parties, no more recklessness. He devoted his time to taking care of his mother while she fought for her life. When she passed it was Matthews friendship that kept him on the promised path. He became a music sensation with his heart felt lyrics. When He purchased his club looking for other opportunities he ran into Master Nu and his unusual proposition. He had already became friends with some of the locals in the area. Mani became family to one in particular. Dede, she had quickly become the second mother he was pleased to have. As Master Nu kept on about training and becoming a guardian, he knew there was more to this strangers story. He and Mathew would keep the enemy close, watching and waiting.

I really am thankful for the support! I hope you enjoyed the journey and even it’s frustrations as I did. The book is on Amazon and at Barnes and Noble. You can also get it straight from Dorrance. The actual promotion will be March 30. Not quite sure what they have planned, but I am sure I will enjoy the journey.

Always room for the bad guy.

It took many years for me to become what I am, and now they expected me to just turn over “MY” power. Ungrateful, pitiful, and weak bunch of so called spirit guardians. They can’t get rid of me that easily! I waited once for a sign of weakness I can wait for another.

Master Nu.

What can I say! this character is sneaky, underhanded and someone to not turn your back on…..

Not long now!

Well December is around the corner. I can not be any happier with the way the pages have turned out. They made me swell with pride to see my name and the title of the book incorporated on the pages.   Love the way the writing gives the fiction feel to the story. So as a count down to the release of the book I have decided to list each character and a little about them, and to explain their role in this story. So I will start with the eldest male of this story. He isn’t in the book a whole lot, but he is important for the end and the future of the book to follow Master of the Spirit. (which is in the making Master of the Spirit/ The New Rein)

Rese Ren.

Rese is the eldest living of the remaining elders of the protectors of the spirit world. He has only one enemy. His spirit is the oldest among them all and his name is Nile. Their element is water and they have been together for many decades. Rese is not a man who is easy to be around and is even more uncomfortable around his own kind. But when he is needed Rese won’t let the spirit world down..

Hope you enjoy a little about Rese.

When I get to Pharaoh I will finally tell you all, just what kind of spirits these special people (Lulu , Rese) protect…

I apologizes for the long delay in a new post, I have been working on moving my mom into her new home and my new career as a CCHT.  I am back and excited to share who these colorful characters are in this fun book.

Far and few

Tonight I decided to reflect on a few things. How many times, have you stopped and really taken a moment to reflect on the simple things in life that make you happy. Simple as a child’s’ giggle, a snowflake, stars on a beautiful night, or that moment that gives you a feeling of “Yeah that makes it worth it!”.  If we are lucky we have someone to share these moments with. So tonight’s blog is about enjoying a simple thing in life. Something that just makes you chuckle. Enjoy!

“Matthew said you were up. Why didn’t you call?”
“I am eating. I ordered the most expensive thing on your menu. And I don’t want it to get cold, so I am eating.”
“Broccoli soup is hardly the most expensive thing on the menu. Besides you don’t like any of the expensive things on my menu. You don’t like prime rib or oysters.”
“Why the hell would you want to eat that crap?”
“Well, they’re very romantic, and the oysters are an aphrodisiac—not that I need it, mind you.”
“Well, you still can keep them; I’ll stick with my soup.”
This had him laughing. It was good to hear him laugh. The times that Mani truly laughed were few and far between.
